The Aust-Agder-Museum was established in 1832 as the "Arendal Museum". In their collections you will get a close look at proud ships and maritime history, iron stoves put in their local historical context, furniture from town houses and coastal cottages, farmlife and folklore, a permanent exhibition about the War Years 1940-45, dolls and other toys, old carriages and fishing tackle. They also have a fascinating mineral collection - in other words: Something for everone!In the open-air section of the museum you will find the manor of the Langsae Estate, the Enghave House and Hesthag House and the "Bell-Shed".
