About Museum van Guines
The celebrity Guide Joanne, who lived in the late nineteenth century, pointed to the existence of a museum in the town of Guines.
There one maps of Mercator, found a coin with many Roman coins, souvenirs of the balloonists Blanchard and Jeffries, a white marble bust of Napoleon first and more.
This small museum is probably developed at the initiative of Dr. Victor Cook, the local historian, who lived twenty years in Guines, and councilor was between 1855-1870.
