In Auverge, one of the most beautiful and peaceful areas in France, located in the department of Haute-Loire in the vicinity of Le Puy, lies an ideal vacation spot: Near the village of Rosières, 750 m, on the slopes of a plateau, you find the farm "La Garnasette" at the end of a dead end road.

For 100 years, the farm has been there, now beautifully restored in the original style, but with the comfort of today. Central heating for example, while the word "Garnasette" refers to how they heated here earlier: a garnasse is a bundle of sticks that serves to rekindle the fire.

In this quiet place we receive guests who can appreciate the beautiful nature, clean air and fresh spring water.

Spring is characterized by exuberant flowers, summer is never too warm because of the height, autumn offers a hue which leaves you speechless and in the winter there are skiing opportunities. The walker will find lots of well-marked hiking routes, so called 'Petites Randonnees', both simple and somewhat heavier. The ancient volcanic landscape is very varied: forests, meadows, crater lakes and over the Loire that winds through the valleys.
