Portugal: Travelling & Vacation

Portugal is the westernmost country of mainland Europe. It covers 16 percent of the Iberian Peninsula, which continues until Spain, Portugal's only neighbor. Portugal is a strong maritime country with a long Atlantic coastline.

Portugal also includes the archipelago of the Azores and Madeira, the island group of the Ilhas Selvagens, all located in the Atlantic Ocean. Since 1986, the country belongs to the European Union.
