About Namib Naukluft Park

The Namib-Naukluft Park is the biggest conservation area in Namibia
and one of the most expansive in Africa.

There are several camp sites available in the Naukluft Park and should be booked in advance at your information bureau or these offices.

The Park features many of Namibia's most well-known tourist attractions such as Sossusvlei, Sesriem, the Welwitschia trail, Sandwich Harbour,

the Naukluft Mountains and the Kuiseb Canyon. The park has been extended over the years, with the Naukluft section having been added in 1964 as a sanctuary for the Hartmann's mountain zebra. African Wildcat and leopard also live near the Kuiseb, while the plains are home to oryx, ostrich, and springbok. Black-backed
jackal and brown hyena are also regularly seen.
