About Modern Cafe
Set inside a beautifully preserved 1910 heritage building in downtown Nanaimo, Modern Cafe is more than just a restaurant—it's a gathering place where timeless charm meets contemporary flair. Our space combines the elegance of classic architecture with eclectic, modern touches that reflect our passion for style and substance.
At the heart of our concept is a love for simple craftsmanship and bold creativity. Our menu is rooted in quality, featuring fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients prepared with care. From refined tapas to fusion-forward entrées, we craft each plate to excite the senses—always balancing indulgence with intention.
Whether you're sipping cocktails at the bar, enjoying shareable plates with friends, or diving into a satisfying steak, Modern Cafe welcomes you to relax, explore, and enjoy—your way.
