About Fox & Hounds

Set in the picturesque Essex village of Ramsden Heath, The Fox and Hounds Pub and Restaurant has been serving the villages of Ramsden Heath, Ramsden Bellhouse, Downham, Wickford and Billericay for over 200 years. In 2017 the pub went under a huge refurbishment updating the bar, kitchen and garden but making sure that it kept the village pub feel, atmosphere and welcoming. In 2018 we were rewarded with all our hard work and was nominated as a finalist in the Pub of the Year at the Essex Life Food & Drink Awards.

The menus at The Fox and Hounds Pub and Restaurant has been chosen from a selection of dishes that will suit all tastes.

We offer a daily selection of great fresh food along with our tremendous Sunday lunch.

All our food is purchased fresh every day by our wonderful in house chef which can be enjoyed either in our separate restaurant area or in the bar by our open log fire in the winter or if the sun is shining you can also enjoy your food in our fabulous garden and patio areas.
