About Chateau Du Taillis

Built on the ruins of a 13th century fortified house, the castle was built in 1530 by Jehan du Fay du Tailly. It was later enlarged in the 17th and 18th centuries. As a result, the castle is a fine example of French architecture throughout the centuries. The façade holds the blazons of the successive lords of the place while the park is full of remarkable trees. The castle houses a museum of the Battle of Normandy in August, 1944
