About Mali
The Kingdom of Mali was an Islamic empire of the Mandinka, which existed from the 14th to the 16th century. The kingdom, which was founded by Sundjata Keïta, was famous for the generosity and richness of his king, Kouta Moussa, but also because of the fabulous riches of his capital Timbuktu.
Today, Mali thanks wars, unrest and famine a poor country that hardly visited by tourists.
