This is an open air museum with some 40 characteristic wooden houses placed on squares, streets and narrow alleys. The interiors show town life as it was in the 18th and 19th centuries. For instance there are exhibits showing a bakery, dentist, photographer, watchmaker, shopkeeper, official and a sailor.Getting there: Take bus 1 or 9 from Bergen city center to Sandviken 4km from the city center.
