About Spain
The Kingdom of Spain is the largest to occupy the Iberian Peninsula. This Southern European Country is bordered by Portugal, Andorra and Gibraltar. Through its cities in North Africa (Melilla and Ceuta) it borders Morocco. Spain has an Atlantic coast and a Mediterranean coast. The official language is Spanish, co-official are Catalan, Basque, Galician and Aranese (dialects of Spanish).
17 autonomous units and 2 autonomous cities make up Spain. Approximately 44.4 million inhabitants populate the country. The capital Madrid is the densest populated. Inheriting so much culture, history and diversity it should not be hard to imagine Spain is the second most visited place in the world.
