About Paleis Het Loo

In the heart of the Netherlands, on the outskirts of Apeldoorn, is the 300 year old Palace Het Loo. Since 1984, this former royal palace after a thorough restoration open to the public.
The sumptuously decorated rooms reflect three centuries of history of the Orange, while the reconstructed gardens with their waterworks and graceful Palace Het Loo. Photo Palace The Loobelijnde flowerbeds capture the atmosphere of the 17th century. Due to its beautiful location in one of the most scenic areas of the Netherlands, every season has its own charm.
The palace museum consists of a main building (Corps de Logis) with left and right two pavilions connected with service wings around the forecourt (Basse-Cour). In the East Wing, the former kitchens, are now part of the museum display. On the upper floor is the Museum of the Chancellery of Honours Dutch established. In the former Orangery keep the museum staff office.
The West Wing (former stables) is used for temporary exhibitions. Also in this wing restaurant Ballroom. The stables and coach houses are located directly at the main entrance.
Behind the palace are the walled gardens, with there again behind the palace park, accessible from the parking lot at the main entrance.

Tuesday / Sunday from 10:00 to 17:00.
The Museum of the Chancellery of Dutch Orden, in the East Wing of the palace, is open from 13:00.
